Carmen enjoys working closely with you to individualize your path to recovery so that you can meet your personal goals and achieve optimal physical function. Her treatment approach incorporates a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, strength training and education to help you achieve a quick recovery.
Carmen continues to challenge herself through professional development and incorporates a hands-on approach, visceral manipulation, advanced athletic supportive taping, and Medical Acupuncture, completing the Acupuncture program from McMaster University. She completed a Diploma in Advanced Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists (FCAMPT).
Carmen completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. As an avid athlete herself and having gone through several sport related injuries including an ACL reconstruction, Carmen understands the importance and benefits of physical therapy, injury management and prevention.
Carmen maintains an active lifestyle with over 6 years of experience in Wushu, a form of martial arts, and enjoys playing volleyball, softball, ultimate frisbee and snowboarding in her spare time.
